CIS 301 - Operating Systems and Server Administration (fall and spring)

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is an introduction to operating systems and server administration in a business environment. Students will learn the basic functions of an operating system through the hands-on use of Linux. Additional, students acquire hands-on server administration skills in order to better understand the operational and security demands business applications. The LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) environment will be used to teach server-side administration.
